Fire at takeaway in Kirby

Crews from Ashfield, Hucknall and Mansfield battled the flames at Kirby Balti House on Kingsway after a fire broke out in the kitchen at 11.45am - Thursday, February 8.

A Notts Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The fire is out now and luckily no one was hurt.”

To tackle the fire crews used two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus, two thermal vision cameras, and positive pressure ventilation to get rid of the smoke and after entering the building said all people were accounted for.
