More than 100 workers at the Trust which runs King’s Mill Hospital have been attacked in the last year, according to new figures.
NHS revealed the statistics that show 140 NHS staff have been victim to assault from 1st April, 2013 to 31st March, 2014.
However 40 of these assaults were a result of a patient’s medical condition at the time.
Ambulance staff have also been victim to assaults.
Employees from the East Midlands Ambulance service NHS Trust were attacked 115 times - with just 18 being as a result of a medical condition.
