THE family of murdered Forest Town man Jonathan Turner have paid tribute to the ‘fun-loving daddy’ after he was killed in the town centre.

Mr Turner (27) - pictured above in a photograph released by his family on Wednesday - died on Sunday morning with his parents at his bedside. He had been found outside The Social pub on Stockwell Gate, Mansfield, in the early hours of Saturday.

A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed a head injury as the cause of death.

Two men arrested shortly after the incident were on Monday night charged with murder.

Bragdas Kilic and Vjaceslavs Solovjovs, both of Mansfield and both aged 22, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning and will reappear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday.

In a statement released by Nottinghamshire Police today, the family said: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who did what they could to help our son - the police officers first on the scene, paramedics, A&E staff and ITU medical and nursing teams.

“Thank you to all those who have laid floral tributes, cards, posted messages of love, phoned and visited us. Your love and support is a great comfort.

“We send our thoughts to all those who loved him and are grieving too.

“Jonathan was a wonderful fun-loving daddy, much loved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and true friend. His loss is felt by so many.”

Two further men, aged 24 and 19 and believed to be from the local area, have been arrested in connection with the murder.

They remain in police custody. A fifth man arrested at the same time as Kilic and Solovjovs has been released without charge after questioning.
