Exhibition for Bulwell artist

A Bulwell man who took up painting as a hobby following a long illness is exhibiting his works of art in his first exhibition at Hucknall Library.

Paul Walters enjoyed art at school but only picked up his brush again in recent years after his doctor suggested he take up a hobby.

Since then he has created many paintings using mainly acrylics in a contemporary style and attracted buyers of his work.

His latest exhibition at the town’s library came about following the closure of Garden Centre.

“I needed to find other venues to show my work and contacted the library,” explained Paul. “I’m really pleased they agreed to the exhibition.

“Painting is something I really enjoy and by having them displayed -hopefully it gives other people a chance to enjoy them too,” added Paul. “Some of the art is 3D and I encourage visitors to touch and feel them and interact with them.”

Paul’s pictures will remain on display until the end of the month.
