Mansfield youngsters rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into our new ‘Just Bin It’ litter picking scheme which is helping to keep Mansfield clean.

On Friday, Rotarians threw down the challenge to Mansfield folk to help clean up their streets with its new ‘Just Bin It’ litter collection initiative.

The Mansfield Rotary Club has invested in 100 litter pickers which are being made available to the public, to help residents in the Mansfield area to “make a a positive difference in their town."

The new initiative is also being backed by the Chad, which has pledged to regularly feature pictures of your litter picking projects across the region.

This week Rotarian Chris Buck sent in pictures of his family litter picking up rubbish in an area near to the cemetery.

Chris, and his children Florence 10, Wilfred 8 and Connie and Evie, 6, collected two large bags of rubbish from the pavement.

Rotarian Stewart Rickersey said: “Well done to Chris and his family for helping to make a positive difference to Mansfield, which is what our new campaign is all about. We want people to get involved.
