Mansfield District Council praised for clearing up fly tipping mess

Heather Bond said: “ I want to say a big thank you to Mansfield District Council for acting so quickly in clearing up the fly tipping.

“I run regularly on the trail route between Southwell Road to the top of fisher park/Windsor road when I came across this one Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago, I emailed MDC and had a reply back within minutes stating they would get someone onto it.

“I ran the route again the following Friday and as you can see cleared away. Great effort from MDC in this time when other things are going on.”

Fly-tipping is a serious criminal offence for which you can be prosecuted.

Mansfield District Council has issued more than £2,000 in fly-tipping fines in four months.
