A huge flytipping incident in the area, has prompted a major investigation into one of the largest environmental incidents seen in the district. Due to its size, the council has contacted the Environment Agency for support.

Posting ‘before and after pictures on his Facebook, page the MP for Ashfield Lee Anderson said: “Just filthy and disgusting. Here we have the before and after pics of a fly tip in Huthwaite.

“I spoke to ADC about this as soon as I was aware of the situation and they were straight on it. They are now investigating who dumped it and I will be pushing them all the way to make sure these idiots feel the full weight of the law.
