Firefighters at Ashfield Fire Station have practised for a chemical decontamination in huge yellow suits.

These exercises were to refresh the skills required to carry out safe decontamination of the firefighters during an incident. This equipment could be used to investigate a known or unknown chemical and to make the scene safe. A fire and rescue spokesman said: "It’s not just fires and RTC’s we attend."
