Sutton Academy celebrates GCSE results

Students and staff at Sutton Community Academy are celebrating their GCSE results today.

Acting Principal David Mackey commented that “I am proud of the progress made by the students and wanted to thank their families and staff that have worked so hard for these results.

“With the new reformed GCSE qualifications we can’t really compare against previous years due to the new grading system and substantial changes in the content of subjects.

“However we are delighted with the results that students have obtained, in particular the fact that some of our students were able to achieve Grade 9 scores in Science, Maths, Art and History. This is a new grade designed to recognise the very highest performing students across the country.”
