Students’ double help for homeless charity

A Mansfield homeless charity has received two donations in a week from West Nottinghamshire College.

The college’s Students’ Union spent the last month gathering tinned and dried food, toiletries and clothing ready to give to The Halls Homeless Support Project.

On Thursday seven bags of food and 50 bags of clothing were delivered to the organisation on Westfield Lane, Mansfield.

The college’s learner voice co-ordinator Sue Harris said: “Once again, staff and students from across all of the college campuses have been incredibly generous with their donations for the homeless.

“It was wonderful to be able to take the delivery to The Halls and know that everything which has been donated will help to make a difference to those who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

“Our students are looking forward to continuing their fundraising efforts for the charity in the New Year.”
