School’s special visitor

This week the Brunts Academy’s Student Council welcomed a four legged visitor – Harvey the puppy guide dog – together with his puppy walkers.

Last year, the student council chose Guide Dogs for the Blind as one of their chosen charities and as a school raised £2,500 to sponsor and name a puppy.

Harvey is now 5 months old and is almost half way through his puppy training. After 14 months of training his progress will be checked to see if he is suitable to move on to training school. It costs £50,000 to train and look after a guide dog throughout its life and Guide Dogs for the Blind are grateful for all the fundraising.
