Pupils at St Edmunds Primary and Nursery School had a ball yesterday as they took advantage of the wintry conditions.

Head teacher Nadeem Shah proved he was a good sport when youngsters pelted him with snowballs.

Mr Shah said: "Good job I brought my big coat!

"The children were so excited by the snow that they challenged me to a snowball fight.

"They were also encouraged by the teachers!

"Some of the parents even joined in as they dropped the children off in the morning!"

The video has proved a huge hit on the school's Facebook site going viral with thousands of hits.
