Caring youngsters at Dalestorth Primary School gathered gifts to help underprivileged children.
The children at the school on Hill Crescent, Sutton, all helped Operation Christmas Child and managed to collected a staggering 102 boxes.
The youngsters and staff helped fill many boxes full crayons, colouring books, and other toys to help make Christmas a special time for those less fortunate.
They were asked to find an empty show box and wrap the lid separately and then fill it with goodies youngsters would like to play with. They each had to pick whether they wanted to send their box to a boy or a girl. And then they chose an age group, from 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14.
Headteacher Sally Stafford said: “We are delighted with everyone’s efforts to help this appeal.”
The scheme is being run by Samaritan’s Purse and since 1990 they have helped more than 113 million boys and girls in 130 countries.
The appeal ends on 18th November and will be sent to children all over the world.
