From Easter egg hunts to craft and food fares - there’s plenty to do in the area.

Mansfield District Council has organised a list of activities happening around the area over the Easter holidays.

Easter weekend will be rocked with the Rock of Ages free live performance in Mansfield Market Place on Saturday, March 26.

There will also be a town treasure hunt over the Easter weekend and Easter holidays (March 24 to April 4). Families can follow the clues to find hidden bunnies and chicks in town centre shop windows, for the chance to win goodie bags.

Decorating spring flower banners at Mansfield library is a free event on April 2.

Superstars Fun Sessions will take place at Oak Tree Leisure Centre on various days throughout the holidays.

Children will also be able to get crafty in Easter Artbeat! sessions at Mansfield Museum every day.

And for sporty sessions, youngsters can take part in the Junior Gym at Water Meadows or Kick Boxing and Dance Mat Fun and Games at River Maun Recreational Centre.

Mansfield Town Football Camp is also running at the River Maun Recreational Centre on April 5 and 13.

There will also be a Saturday Craft activity at Mansfield Library on April 9.

The whole family can also go and see Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales by Scamp Theatre at Mansfield Palace Theatre. There will be a host of colourful characters and live puppetry on April 13.

Ashfield District Council will also be holding a craft and food fair in Sutton over Easter. It will include gifts, treats and refreshments at Portland Square Market on Friday, April 1.

McArthur Glen Designer Outlet has also sent a list of activities and events going on in the East Midlands centre.

Families will be able to combine their shopping with a day of entertainment with a line-up of activities, including an Easter egg hunt around the centre and chocolate treats from Thornton’s.

A Lego event will also encourage children to create Easter animals out of giant bricks for the chance to win a Lego set.
