EASTENDERS star John Partridge will join Sheila Ferguson from world famous group The Three Degrees in Cinderella, which is this year’s panto at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal.

The well-loved panto tells the tale of poor Cinderella who has to wait on her Ugly Sisters - until of course her Fairy Godmother helps her get to the ball where she meets her Prince Charming.

John is well-known to TV viewers for his role of Christian Clarke in the long-running soap and he will play Prince Charming, while singing sensation Shelia stars as everyone’s favourite, the Fairy Godmother.

Starring alongside them will be Graham Walker and Robin Colvill who are well-known faces on the comedy circuit.

The pair, who play the Brokers Men in the panto, were part of the original The Grumbleweeds Radio Show which ran for 15 series on BBC Radio 2.

Managing director at the Theatre Royal Robert Sanderson said: “Cinderella is without doubt the most magical of pantomimes and with such a talented cast, I’m sure this production will be simply breathtaking.

“We at the Theatre Royal so much look forward to the pantomime season each year.

“It’s truly heartening to see families coming together for a terrific family outing, from great-grandparents to little ones.

“A visit to the pantomime is an absolute must.”
