Caroline said: “The pub has seen a number of change of hands and were here to stay with a number of events planned.

“We spent a solid week cleaning and decorating and we aim to bring it back to the amazing pub it was.”

Caroline added: “Some people thought we were a couple - we both have male partners - but we are independent business women and our other halves don’t have anything to do with running the pub.

Kelly has run a pub before and I have a property business .

“We have consulted the locals and aim to create a true community pub with lots of events and activities.

“This used to be a great pub and we aim to bring it back to life.”
