Dukeries to welcome German visitors
A school in the region is set to help strengthen Anglo-German relations when they welcome a group of visitors this week.
Thirteen Year 9, 10 and 11 students from The Dukeries Academy in Ollerton, will this week be playing host to 17 students from Gesamtschule Rheyd Muelfort School in the north-west city of Monchengladbach, Germany.
The students from both schools will spend the week working together and look into research about how to encourage people to make environmentally-friendly journey choices to create a more sustainable and inclusive transport infrastructure in our local areas. The students will visit Nottingham, Birmingham and York as well as Sherwood Forest.
