Jeremy Russell Bone of High Hazles Drive was arrested after he refused to follow police advice to go home in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.

As he scuffled with officers he headbutted one of them, Mansfield Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday. The court was told Bone, 22 had been drinking vodka since 7pm and had several more drinks before going to the Market Club, Huthwaite.

Bone admitted the assault but said it was done recklessly as he struggled rather than a deliberate attack. A Newton Hearing will be held on May 27.
