Drink-driver given an electronic tag for being nearly three times over the limit

A drink-driver who was nearly three times over the limit has been banned from the road for two years.

Ian Paul Homer blew 98 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath after being breathalysed by police for being behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on Netherfield Lane in Warsop.

The legal limit is 35 mcgs.

Pleading guilty at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court, the 53-year-old, of Egmanton Road, Meden Vale, was given a community order with two months’ curfew with an electronic tag and made to pay £170 in costs.
