Drink drive man was twice over the limit

A Shirebrook man was more than twice over the legal drink driving limit when he got into his car to move it a short distance from a car park.

Viktor Rajna of Station Road, Shirebrook pleaded guilty at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court to driving with 71 mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The court heard Rajna, 33 was seen getting into his car on the Toothill Lane car park on August 1 at 2.40am.

He told officers he had drunk a ‘few shots’, but had not thought he was over the limit.

He was disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £120, with court costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £20 and a criminal court charge of £150.
