Police are warning shops to beware of three men who are using fake £50 notes to purchase goods.
Sherwood Police have warned traders to be on the look out particularly in the Bilsthorpe, Caunton, Lowdham, Southwell and villages.
A police spokesman said: “Beware of these 3 males when entering your businesses to purchase goods. They are trying to buy goods with fake 50 pound notes.
“The notes are of pretty good quality so if your unsure, do not accept any 50s unless you know and trust the person trying to purchase.”
