Disruption in Ashfield due to strike action

ASHFIELD District Council has put plans in place to ensure services continue to be delivered to residents wherever possible on Wednesday.

Residents throughout the district are set to face disruption to a number of services as a result of strike action planned.

The council’s offices on Urban Road in Kirkby will be open between 8.30am and 3.30pm.

The council’s cash offices at Sutton, Hucknall and Selston will be closed to the public on Wednesday.

It is anticipated that there will be significant disruption to waste collection services.

Residents are advised to place their bins out for collection on this date as collections will be undertaken if possible. If collections are missed, the bins should be put out again on the next scheduled collection day when up to three bags of side waste will also be collected.

Any extra recyclable materials put out for collection will need to be contained in a recyclable container (not a black refuse bag).
