Pride honed their skills at weekly dance production classes at the Westfield Folkhouse Young People’s Centre in Mansfield and performed at Showcase 2014 at the town’s Palace Theatre to hundreds of people in February.

Group member Kelly Gibson (23) from Mansfield Woodhouse has previously suffered with depression and and told Chad she Pride gave her an opportunity to develop her skills.

She said: “Pride has given me a lot of confidence. I took on an assistant leader role within rehearsals and as a result am looking to study a dance leadership course soon.

“We all enjoyed Showcase and performing to different audiences. We are delighted to have been highly commended in these awards.”
