Did you see someone acting suspiciously at time of Stapleford bag snatch?

The incident happened on 21 March at around 7.45pm, moments after the victim had just disembarked from the i4 bus in Derby Road at around 7.45pm on Saturday 21 March.

She then walked through an alley leading to Marshall Drive and back to where her car was parked.

As she walked through the alleyway a man ran past her, grabbing her handbag, containing cash, cards and a mobile phone, and making off from the scene. The victim was uninjured but left shaken by the incident.

The offender is described as white and aged around 20 years old. He was wearing a black hooded rain coat, a black peaked hat and dark bottoms or trousers.

Police believe the man may have been in the area for some time, knowing that the area was popular with people travelling into the city, and they are keen to hear from local residents who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area prior to the time of the offence.

However, he may also have travelled on the same bus as his victim.
