DERBYSHIRE: MPs are ‘horrified’ after Woolwich murder

Derbyshire MPs have spoken out following the killing of a serving soldier in south-east London in an terrorist attack.

Drummer Lee Rigby, 25, was hacked to death near Woolwich Barracks by two men shouting Allahu Akbar (God is Great), eyewitnesses said.

Mr Skinner hailed the women who attempted to shield the victim from his cleaver-wielding attackers in yesterday’s incident.

He said: “That’s the bravest action I’ve seen in a very long time.

“It takes a special person to do that type of thing.”
