The final one of ten business breakfasts took place in Long Eaton last week as D2N2 prepares to unveil its vision for the next ten years at a special event at Pride Park Stadium, Derby, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

Toyota Deputy Managing Director Tony Walker, who also chairs the Lowland Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Local Nature Partnership, will speak at the free event as well as D2N2 Chairman Peter Richardson and Chief Executive David Ralph.

All businesses, from micro to large scale, are welcome to attend, as well as figures from all areas of the private and public sector. It runs from 8am to 10.30am.

The event will see D2N2 set out its goal for job creation and the latest on its Growing Places Fund and Unlocking Investment for Growth grant scheme.

Chief Executive David Ralph said: “Our commitment to growth is reflected in the ambitious target that we have set and will reveal on Tuesday, July 9. We will support firms to innovate, invest, export, grow and create sustainable jobs.

“Our business breakfasts have been very engaging and encouraging and we have taken the feedback on board as we look to move forward.

“Our Growth Plan Launch will be our first pitch to Government as we look to stake a claim for at least our fair share of the single pot, which was revealed in this week’s Spending Review.

“Our event at Pride Park will also be a great chance for all businesses in the D2N2 area to come together and engage not just with us, but with each other.”
