A Mansfield father who admitted kicking his partner and throwing a mobile phone at her has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Mansfield magistrates heard how Lukasz Stoklosa (32), of Greendale Crescent, Clipstone Village, was seen by others to throw the phone.

Emma Goodall, defending, said: “Mr Stoklosa accepts he has a number of issues. Since then this has been compounded by an inability to work.

“His way of dealing with it was punishing his partner.”

Stoklosa was given a 16-week sentence suspended for two years. He was also given 18 months’ supervision, court costs of £85 and an £80 victim surcharge.
