Demolished school memories
This photograph was taken in 1991 and is of the school on the corner of Beardall Street and Duke Street, which is now demolished. From the ‘infants’ school, children had to go to Butlers Hill or Spring Street ‘juniors’; then back to the ‘secondary’ girls or boys. In the 1950s this building was Beardall Street Girls.
