Daredevil stuntwoman to hang in sky over Mansfield Market

Felicity Footloose has already wowed crowds and tourists in Covent Garden, London with a show that also includes music, dancing and laughs.

Now she is ready to descend on Mansfield as part of the council’s programme of entertainment events to mark the project to transform the market.

Felicity has been booked in for this coming Saturday (February 25) and can be seen at regular intervals throughout the day.

Mansfield District Council is hosting captivating street-entertainment on the last Saturday of each month to brighten up the weekend for Market Place shoppers.

If a day out shopping with your mum is on the cards on Saturday, March 25, why not make the most of a special Mother’s Day event, which will include free demonstrations, crafts and beauty treatments?

Visitors to the Market Place can also pick up bargains from traders selling great-value products every Tuesday to Saturday. These include fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants, sweets, babywear, ladies’ fashion, including handbags and footwear, perfume and cosmetics.

Coun David Smith, the council’s portfolio holder for cultural services, said: “There is something on in town every month to give visitors another reason to choose Mansfield as their main shopping destination.

“Other events include a Market Celebration, Love Your Local Market entertainment and Armed Forces Day, which will all be great days out for the family.

“Show your support for the town centre and join us as we try to make Mansfield thrive.”
