A group of keen cyclists took off on a 40-mile bike ride and raised an impressive £1,473 for mental health charity Mind.

Ryan Jubbie, Simon Lilliman, Shane Jubbie, Patrick Roberts and Martin Roberts started from the Mind branch on St. John street, Mansfield and rode 20 miles to the Bassetlaw Mind at Worksop.

The cyclists stopped for a break before heading back on the same route to Speed the Plough in Mansfield, for an afternoon of fun and games for both adults and children.

Dale Jubbie said: “This money will help keep our services running and help in new ventures across Nottinghamshire in the near future .

"I myself have worked for Mind for the past 15 years and the support we provide has helped so many people through their mental health issues .

"Being part of a great team and seeing the smiles on our service users face is just breath taking, and makes all the hard work promoting and fundraising worth while."

The team received sponsorship and donations from a number of local companies, including Hirebase and Buildbase in Derby and Belper, as well as Newark and Bunzel cleaning company.
