Cyclist injured after hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a hit and run in Farnsfield left a cyclist with extensive injuries.

It happened at about 1.10pm on Sunday, July 23, where Longland Lane and Baulker Lane cross the A614.

A Nissan Micra was involved in a collision with a cyclist who was taking part in the Outlaw Triathlon. The driver failed to stop.

The cyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Anyone who saw the incident or who has information which could assist the investigation is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 410 of July 23, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
