Cyclist in serious condition after Newstead crash

A 35-year-old man is being treated for serious head injuries after being involved in a road crash last night (Thursday 10 March).

The man, who was riding a bicycle, was involved in a collision with a blue Citroen Saxo at the junction of Hucknall Road and Hazelford Way in Newstead at around 7.45pm.

He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The man driving the Saxo was uninjured in the crash.
