Members of a Kirkby family are preparing to scare their neighbours once again – and all for a good cause.
Crowds are set to flock to the spooky home of the Marriott family on Southwell Lane this Halloween.
The family have become known for their jam-packed displays in their front garden - and have gone even bigger this year to wow visitors.
Kirsty Marriott and husband Rob are creating a terrifying maze through their garden as well decorating their home. Trick-or-treaters can expect an extravaganza of actors, stilt-walkers and firebreathers to raise money for Sutton tot Dawson Wilcock.
The toddler was diagnosed in January with a rare cancer and his family are raising cash to take him to America for last-chance treatment.
Mum-of-four Kirsty said: “We’re expecting hundreds of people and everyone is welcome.
“It should be lots of fun and we want people to enjoy themselves, the kids are really looking forward to it. Everyone in the family has been involved.
“We’re just asking everyone that comes for donations on the door for the Dollar for Dawson campaign.”
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and the event takes place from 5pm onwards.
Local business Party Generator is helping the family out this year free of charge.
Last year, thanks to generous donations, the Marriott family raised £200 for Iyra’s fund, in aid of little Iyra Austin, whose family were raising money for a much-needed operation.
