Crowds gather for the Wellow Maypole celebrations

The crowds gathered to crown this year's May Queen at the annual Wellow Maypole celebrations.

The Wellow Maypole Celebrations take place annually on the village green in the centre of the village.

The event included the crowning of the 2015/16 May Queen, Elizabeth Leigh.

Other activities included Punch and Judy, a selection of classic and vintage vehicles, miniature steam engines, traditional children’s swingboats as well as a variety of different stalls, children’s rides, live music and entertainment and the traditional maypole dancing.
