Logan Brandt, aged 24, was instructed to stop on New Year’s Day after being spotted driving in Bulwell without tax, insurance, a driving licence, or a valid MOT.
In the minutes that followed, he reached speeds of more than 70mph, drove on the wrong side of the road, ran red lights, and carried out dangerous overtakes.
After being stopped he jumped into the back seat and claimed he hadn’t been driving and also falsely alleged that he had suffered a broken leg during the incident.
Brandt, of Dennis Avenue, Beeston, was subsequently jailed for eight months and banned from driving.

Logan Brandt was arrested after leading police on a high speed chase. // An unlicensed driver screams “My leg’s broke!” in a desperate bid to cheat justice after leading cops on a high speed chase. Logan Brandt, 24, refused to stop on New Year’s Day after being spotted driving without tax, insurance, a licence or valid MOT. Footage shows the yob try and outrun police by speeding through residential streets in Bulwell, Notts. He reached speeds of more than 70mph, drove on the wrong side of the road, ran red lights, and carried out dangerous overtakes. Brandt was eventually forced to stop when police burst his car’s tyres using a stinger. Shameless Brandt tried to lie his way out of trouble by jumping into the back seat and pretending he wasn’t driving because of his broken leg. Bodycam shows him lying on the road next to the car holding his leg up to officers. He whines: “I’ve got a broken leg. My leg’s broken. I’ve got to sit in the car bro. My leg’s broke.” After failing an initial roadside drugs wipe, Brandt later walked into custody, gave no-comment answers, and refused to give a blood sample. Brandt, of Beeston, Notts., admitted dangerous driving, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and driving without a licence.
