VIDEO: thieves strike in Forest Town

One man stood watch while another carried away a red and silver Radar mountain bike worth £160 and a dark grey lady’s Storm mountain bike, valued at £50.
The theft happened at an address on Maple Close, Forest Town, at 4.38am, on Friday, February 28.

Hide AdOwner Lloyd Jevons told the Chad: “I found out about it the next morning when I went to put my car in the drive.
“They were both chained up with a strong padlock and covered with a canvas tarpaulin.”
CCTV captured the thieves in action. Mr Jevons said: “They knew what they were doing. One kept look-out – you can’t make out what he was wearing, he was just a silhouette.
“The other one came down the drive and carried them off.”
He said it was possible the thieves took the bikes up steps leading to a cul-de-sac where thay may have had a vehicle parked.

Hide Ad“I have lived here 20 years and nothing like this has happened before,” said Mr Jevons, 52, a factory-worker.
HIs daughter, Chloe, 24, added: "I'm hoping somebody knows who they are.
“I really want these men found and the belongings back to their rightful owners. It's horrible watching my parents go through this. We are besides ourselves.”
