Two Polish men stabbed in Mansfield attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after two Polish men were stabbed in Mansfield yesterday (Saturday 13th July).

The attack happened at around 3.45pm on Derby Street.

The victims, both Polish and in their 30s, sustained injuries described as not being life threatening, but have been treated at King’s Mill Hospital.

One of the men remains in hospital where he continues to receive treatment, the other has since been discharged.

A forensic examination of the scene has been carried out throughout today.

Police are appealing for witnesses and detectives are also keen to hear from anyone within the Polish community who may have information or knowledge of the incident.
