A 36-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and released under investigation.

Inspector Mark Dickson, Ashfield District Commander, said: “This is yet another great piece of pro-active police work being carried out by local officers.

“We are currently working hard to reduce violent crime across the district by relentlessly targeting people who we think may be carrying weapons.

"We are also working on various other early intervention initiatives to reach out to people who we believe to be at risk of offending.
