Two arrested and class A drugs recovered in Sutton vehicle stop

Police recovered a “large quantity of class A drugs” after stopping a vehicle in Sutton.

Nottinghamshire Police’s Ashfield team said officers from the knife-crime team made the discovery, following a “proactive vehicle stop”.

An Ashfield team spokesman said: “On Wednesday, December 6, the county knife crime team recovered a large quantity of Class A drugs and made two arrests following a proactive vehicle stop on Tudor Street, Sutton.

“Plain-clothes officers had sighted the suspicious vehicle from out of the area on Spring Road, before directing uniformed resources to its location on Tudor Street, where proactive stop searches and arrests took place.”

Two men, aged 20 and 46, were arrested and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
