Triple drug dealing arrest after attempted burglary in Ashfield
Officers attending an attempted break-in managed to arrest three suspects for drug dealing offences in Ashfield.
Police were initially called to The Oval, Sutton-in-Ashfield, having heard attempts were being made to burgle a property there.
A Seat Leon was seen to pull away as officers arrived at the address – around 1.30pm on Monday (6 July) – so they decided to follow it.
Despite police switching on their blue lights, the car didn't immediately stop, with items seen to be thrown out of the window, before one person got out and tried to run away.

He was detained within seconds though, while the car sped away from the scene and was later tracked down to another address in Bowne Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The suspect who tried to flee on foot was searched and found to have a burner phone in his possession, while a bag containing quantities of cocaine was retrieved too.
Having arrested the 24-year-old man on suspicion of multiple offences, including attempted burglary and possessing with intent to supply cocaine, police travelled to Bowne Street, where the car was parked outside.
Two people were discovered inside, including a 30-year-old man officers believed had been driving the Seat, he was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, possessing with intent to supply cocaine and failing to stop.
The home's other occupant – a 25-year-old woman – was also later arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs, after cocaine and cannabis were found in the garden.
PC Jodie Ferrol, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "By attending this attempted burglary report as quickly as we did, our officers were able to, not just interrupt the break-in, but then take further action too.
"That's after a car we believe was linked to that incident was identified, with the passenger detained when he tried to run and a man we suspect was the driver arrested too when the car was tracked down soon after.
"Searches of the individuals ultimately resulted in quantities of drugs being discovered and seized, while a third suspect was then arrested on top of that when more Class A and Class B drugs were found.
"This was a great example of a rapid response to a report of one offence leading to further offences being uncovered off the back of that, so it was a really pleasing result."
