Trial date to be set in Pinxton Health and Safety Executive case

PINXTON-BASED engineering firm Van Elle Ltd has denied two charges of breaching Health and Safety regulations after an employee was seriously injured while carrying out widening works to the M1.

The case, which was heard at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, was adjourned to 1st December for a case management hearing following the not guilty pleas.

A trial date will then be set.

The charges relate to an accident that occurred on 22nd September 2009 and which resulted in an employee receiving serious head injuries.
