Thug shoots at Ashfield council worker with an air rifle

Ashfield District Council has condemned a thug who shot at a key worker with an air rifle.

In a statement on Facebook, a council spokesman said: “Yesterday morning whilst members of our Environment Team were out clearing up racist graffiti one of the team was shot at by an air rifle.

“Council officers are all Key Workers and currently going above and beyond to ensure that services continue to be delivered across the District.

“This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and the Police have been informed.

“Thank you to all the residents who have been appreciative of the work the Council continues to do.

“We continue to ask all residents, including children and teenagers to Stay Home, Save Lives.”
