Thief stole perfume and jewellery from Sports Direct in Shirebrook

A thief who stole from a Shirebrook store has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Nelu Ghita stole £161 of clothing, perfume and jewellery from Sports Direct, in Shirebrook, on January 10.

Ghita, 34, of Clumber Street, Warsop, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court, on June 11.

A 12 month community order was imposed with 60 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay £90 to fund victim services and £85 costs, at £10 per week.
