Teenager charged with carrying an offensive weapon following Sutton street fight

Officers were called to Bainbridge Terrace, Sutton, at 7.40pm on Thursday, July 29, following reports of a conflict, and a man was arrested at the scene. No one was injured.
Deacon Jones, of Gardiner Terrace, Stanton Hill, was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later today.

Hide AdSergeant Lee Mulligan said: "People carrying weapons is a serious offence and we will always provide an instant response.
“We have two dedicated knife crime teams in the city and county, we work closely with our partners as well as Operation Reacher to put a stop to these crimes."
The latest report from the Office for National Statistics out last week has shown that the preventive work under taken by the force has seen knife crime fall by 15 per cent over the last year.
