FOUR men who attacked a student as she walked home from a friend’s house in Kirkby are being hunted by police
It happened around 9.20pm on Monday 14th November, as the 17-year-old girl travelled along Sutton Middle Lane, in the town.
She heard a noise from nearby bushes and was then surrounded by four men, who came from a nearby footpath, grabbed her and patted down her pockets.
One of the men then hit her in the face before snatching her mobile phone.
The victim grabbed her phone back and ran off towards Rowan Drive.
As she looked back over her should she saw the men laughing as they ran towards Banks Avenue.
She sustained bruising to her face and was shaken up by the attack.
A police spokesperson said: “This was a totally unprovoked and vicious attack on a young woman walking home from a friend’s.
“We believe that by releasing the offenders’ descriptions, someone in the community will know who they are, as it is likely they are part of a group who associate together regularly.”
The first offender is described as a white man aged 18 to 20, 5ft 10” to 6ft tall, and of slim build with broad shoulders.
He had brown hair and dark stubble, and was wearing a black hooded top with a NIKE logo on the front. His hood was up and he was wearing a red baseball cap underneath.
The second man is white, aged around 18, 5ft 7” tall, and of heavy build. He had a lip-ring in his bottom lip and was wearing a burgundy hooded top pulled over his head and grey jogging bottoms with high top trainers.
The third man police are hunting is also white, aged 17 to 18, 5ft 5” tall, and of skinny build. He was wearing a navy blue zip up hooded top, pulled over his head, and skinny jeans.
The fourth suspect is only described as a white man.
