Suspects allegedly threatened Kirkby woman before robbing her phone and bank card

Nottinghamshire Police have arrested two men on suspicion of robbery after they allegedly stole a Kirkby woman’s phone and bank card yesterday.

The suspects, aged 21 and 22, were arrested following an incident on Edward Street in Kirkby at just before 4.10pm yesterday (January 26).

A woman was reportedly walking along the street when two men pulled up, got out of a car and threatened her before taking her phone and bank card.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Moore said: "This is a positive update in our investigation into this incident, which was extremely frightening for the woman.

"We take such incidents extremely seriously and we would reassure people that officers are dedicated to investigating reports of robbery and tackling this across the county.

"We continue our enquiries into what happened yesterday and welcome any information which could help our investigation.

"Anyone who saw the incident or has any information is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 403 of 26 January 2021.”
