Speeding motorists targeted on major Mansfield road

Officers from the Mansfield Operation Reacher team carried out its latest Fatal 4 Operation on the A60 Nottingham Road close to The Rushley pub followiing concerns raised by residents in the area.

Sixteen tickets were issued to drivers for travelling above the road’s 30mph speed limit, failing to wear a seatbelt, using a mobile phone behind the wheel and for driving with no insurance or MOT.

The team also targeted bad driving on Chatsworth Drive in Berry Hill after complaints from householders, where six tickets were issued for speeding – with one motorist caught travelling at 45mph and failing to wear a seatbet, who officers say was a driver who lived in the area.
