Rainworth woman who assaulted ‘obviously’ pregnant barmaid ordered to tackle her drinking
A Rainworth woman who assaulted an "obviously" pregnant barmaid after being thrown out of two previous pubs has been ordered to tackle her drinking, a court heard.
Rebecca Hikin had already been ejected from the Green Dragon and refused entry to the Drunken Donkey by the time she entered the Byron, on August 28 last year, Patrick Fisher, prosecuting, said.
The barmaid at the Byron, on Market Street, had already been alerted about Hikin's reception at the other pubs.
But when she tried to explain why she wouldn't be served, Hikin pushed her in the chest, causing her to stumble backwards.

The court heard Hikin also stole detergent and a bottle of Frosty Jacks cider, valued at a total of £43, from B&M, on Baums Lane, Mansfield, on February 24.
And she failed to attend court for a hearing on March 17.
A support worker from Change Grow Live said Hikin had engaged really well about her use of alcohol as a coping strategy.
Morgan Hogarth, mitigating, said she only has one previous conviction for four shop thefts from September 2025 and nothing for violence.
He urged the magistrates to follow the recommendations contained in a probation report.
Hikin, aged 40, of Willoughby Gardens, Rainworth, admitted shop theft and assault by beating when she appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court, on March 31.
On Thursday, July 16, she received an 18-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days and a 26-day programme.
She was ordered to pay £43 compensation to B&M and £200 to the barmaid, but no other costs were awarded.
