Shawn and Michelle Poxon, who set up M&S Garden and Waste Services less than a year ago are appealing for help to find their "much needed" vehicle.

Their white truck was taken from outside the Dukeries Young People Centre, on Main Road, Boughton, as Shawn worked on a nearby building site some time after 10.11am, on Tuesday, October 1.

The Ford Transit alone, the family estimate, is worth around £7,000, but with attached hydraulics, lifting gear, rollers and other equipment, the total cost is thought to be around £15,000. The family also lost a Sat Nav, business cards, waste licence documents, keys, and several number plates inside the cab.

A section of the vehicle was later found dumped on a farm track, near Walesby Scouts camp.

Mum of four Michelle Poxon took to social media and contacted the Chad to appeal for help and sightings of the vehicle.

She said: "We are devastated, it means we’ve had to postpone jobs, let people down, we really need the vehicle, it is upsetting.

"We are just a start up hobby business, trying to get going and we have worked so hard, and it has set us back completely.

"It has broken me, the worry, we have had to change all our locks and increase our security. It’s just awful, a horrible feeling.

“They knew what they were after, the hydraulic lifting gear and rollers, which are yellow quite distinctive.

"It can also be identified as it had a small dint in the right panel, but other than that it was immaculate.

"We have contacted the centre and we know there is CCTV showing a man in overalls. We have reported it to the police, but we seem to be doing the bulk of the investigating ourselves at the moment and we have put it out on social media asking for sightings and chased the CCTV.

"But we are not getting our hopes up. I expect it will have been stripped down by now. One man has contacted us and thinks he saw it heading towards Tuxford.”

The family are asking people on Facebook to share the story and are appealing for sightings.
