"Professional" criminal stole £3,600 worth of cigarettes in Notts

A Notts man who stole £3,600 of cigarettes has been jailed for six months.

Wayne Lee stole the cigarettes from B&M, Hucknall, on March 30, as well as £100 of meat, from the Co-Op in Rainworth, on April 12, and £40 of gin from Tesco, Bulwell, on May 9.

Lee, 50, of Chatsworth Drive, Hucknall, admitted the thefts, when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court, on May 11.

The court heard the quantity of offences showed he was “operating as a professional criminal."
